Crêpes!
We had the most delicious dessert crêpes when we spent the day in Santa Monica on Saturday. They were so good that I just had to try to replicate them. I went to the store the other day to get everything I needed and today I attempted to duplicate that yummy goodness. I think they turned out extremely well. My taste buds are happy and I thought I would share how to make them so your buds can be happy too!
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, water and eggs. Gradually add in the flour, stirring to combine. Add the salt and butter; beat until smooth.
The ingredients (for 4 crepes):
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, water and eggs. Gradually add in the flour, stirring to combine. Add the salt and butter; beat until smooth.
Pour batter onto a frying pan over medium heat. Cook the crepe for about 2 minutes, until the bottom is light brown. Loosen with a spatula, turn and cook the other side.
Alright - Mandy said you were one to check out and I did (because I like Mandy).

Yum! Might have to try that. Another good treat is make a grilled sandwich (panini style) with bananas and nutella. Sounds similar.
ReplyDeleteSuper YUM!! I'll have to try both of the ideas out. 'Specially since I love nanas and nutella. And wow are you talented. I love the step by step pics.
