pretty in pink

I took Talia to a pretty little field that I found right by our house and put on my favorite dress of hers. The last time she wore it was at her birthday party and almost came down to her ankles! It is amazing to see how much she has grown in just 2 1/2 months. I had been wanting to do a little shoot with her which is becoming slightly more of a challenge now that she is a very busy and very curious toddler who doesn't sit still for very long but I'm learning to be quick with my camera :) Here are my favorites, enjoy!

 Here is a little photographer note...
I shot all of these photos with my 50mm at f/1.6
When shooting with such a wide aperture it is very important to always focus on the eyes. 
As you can see in the photo below I am focused on her eye but it is the eye furthest away from me leaving the closer eye a little blurry. 
She had her dress lifted up for just a second so I had to shoot fast, and even thought the focus is a little off I'm still glad I caught the moment :)
This is what she was actually doing most of the time, playing with dirt and rocks :)

    I like the new look of your blog. I have largely abandoned my blog so far this year, sadly. I also enjoy any photographic instruction you provide.

    I hear you could possibly be getting some snow in the LA area today and tomorrow. I bet you thought you escaped that when you left Canada :)
