Our beautiful daughter has arrived! Stella Indie was born July 8 at 8:20 pm. She weighed in at 9 pounds 10 ounces and was 20 inches long. 

I had a routine doctor appointment that morning and then ran some errands like normal. Our nephew was in town visiting us so we took him out for a late lunch at Huckleberries. As soon as we finished our meal (around 3:20 pm) I began feeling contractions and started to time them. We headed up to Avila Beach to walk around and the contractions kept coming closer together. We soon drove home to gather our bags and made our way to the hospital. We got checked in at about 5:45 pm and I was 5 cm. Everything felt so calm and Aaron was an amazing support to me. We had an incredible doctor who stayed with us for a good portion of the labor and we all chatted in between contractions. She just sat on the end of my bed and was laughing at how smooth a labor it was! Things progressed quickly and just two hours after our arrival to the hospital I was at 10 cm. When the doctor told me it was time to push I almost didn't believe her! As soon as Stella arrived they placed her right away on my chest and I will never forget that feeling. She melted our hearts at first sight. Our little beautiful star. 

Ps- if you're wondering, Indie is short for India. When Aaron and I first met we travelled to three countries together (Costa Rica, India and Holland) and each of our kids has a middle name that represents one of those countries.
