Last month I had the privilege of shooting family photos for some dear friends of ours. Marlene and my husband, Aaron actually grew up together down in Southern California until her family moved to the Central Coast. 

Years later when I was pregnant with our first daughter, Marlene reached out to me. She had come across my blog back when I was documenting our travels in Chile and once I announced our pregnancy she shared that was also expecting a little girl and due shortly after me. This began a sweet friendship that grew as we began teaching at YWAM Pismo and had the opportunity to visit the area twice a year. Soon we were both due with boys with due dates weeks apart. When we moved to Pismo Beach four years ago we were excited that our families would be so close together. Since then we've kept the pattern and both added baby girls to the mix! 

I love the connection that old family friends have become new family friends and now our kids are growing up together. LOVE. IT.
